Music has always been an important part of Paul Zimmer's life. Starting with the slide trombone in high school, then advancing to dance bands, Paul quickly learned the joy of expressing through music. He was then drafted and served two years in the army. His army years were spent in a Special Services orchestra, traveling Europe as a trombonist.
For the next 42 years, Paul devoted his time and efforts to his other love, graphic art and design but was still inspired deeply with music. In 1995 the Native American flute caught his attention. Zimmer constructed a flute, taught himself to play it and became caught up in a wonderful journey that placed him back in the music field.
Paul Zimmer is also a trained medical hypnotherapist. True to that calling, he has directed his flute playing into one of peaceful relaxation and healing for his listeners. Most of Zimmer's songs are self-created compositions.
Today, Zimmer is recognized for his hauntingly beautiful and peaceful playing style throughout the Southeast and Midwest, U.S. His most rewarding experiences are hearing the reports of countless therapists, medical personnel and school teachers who use his music to aid in their workplace.
